Could the tour guide sprung from her nightmares really be the solution to Karo’s problems? After she insulted her biggest customer, Karo’s company is in trouble. With no money to squander, she’d still love to send her widowed brother-in-law and his new bride on a fairy tale honeymoon. When a storm blows Martin Sander back into Karo’s life, his unexpected inheritance from unknown sources allows them to lure the newlyweds to his finca on Tenerife at low cost. At the same time, a bunch of Senegalese refugees head for the Canary Islands. Karo’s attempt at playing fairy godmother works like a charm until another storm moves in, blowing the refugees off course and endangering the lovers. Can a trip organized by the infamous tour guide ever go right? Filled with chaos, drama, tension and banter, this sequel to Snow White’s Slide stands alone, but builds on the lively characters of the first book in the Adventure Trek series.
Cinderfella Conspiracy Adventure Trek 2 Volume 2 Edith Parzefall Books
I am a fan of suspense stories, so I was looking forward to this read. Adventure, suspense, loves stories (that's right, more than one), danger, it's all here and it pulled me in from the start. Karo, one of the main characters, is a force of nature, and Martin, the second main character doesn't disappoint at all. The book is a stand-alone, but the characters are familiar from the author's previous work. The setting is spectacular. The author delivers plot, character description, suspense and great narrative as the characters of Karo, Martin, Ralph and Jenny -- all with their different problems and joys -- are brought together on this mountain climbing adventure.Highly recommended.

Cinderfella Conspiracy Adventure Trek 2 Volume 2 Edith Parzefall Books Reviews
It's been over a year that I read the first Adventure Trek but had no difficulties getting into the story. All necessary backstory is provided on a need to know basis. Martin and Karo are accomplices in a honeymoon conspiracy that goes haywire. I loved the parallel plot of the African refugees trying to reach the honeymoon island Tenerife. The tourguide from hell as guardian angel? Hard to imagine, but he sure enjoys challenges.
This novels ticks all the boxes for me. Interesting characters, great adventure and best of all – well written. Edith Parzefall has conquered them all with her amazing writing.
It was a pleasure to read this novel with it's range of characters from different backgrounds and cultures. Serendipity plays a part in bringing them together, adding a touch of magic to the many mishaps and misadventures that occur on an overseas trip planned to bring a honeymoon couple together. Even the best of intentions go wrong for the main characters, keeping my attention riveted until the last page.
I was lucky that Edith Parzefall gave in to my begging and let me see a prerelease copy of this book. I just couldn't wait to see what the wonderful characters got up to next. And once again she didn't disappoint.
In Cinderfella Conspiracy, we get so see the changes Karo has made in her life after her experiences in the first book. My other favorite characters are back and they make new friends.
As usual, Parzefall provides a complete stand-alone story with a good plot and plenty of character development, this time with the focus more on Jenny and Martin than Karo. And she adds an unusual perspective with the group of refugees from Senegal.
The story provides a good mix of excitement, romance, fear, and drama. It definitely earns a 5* review and my highest recommendations.
Who knows what Parzefall will come up with next...
I love mountain climbing, though I never get around to doing it, so reading about it is a vicarious pleasure - and meeting Martin, the mountaineering tour guide from hell, makes the vicarious part all the better. I have to confess, I thoroughly disliked/loved/hated Martin in Book One of this series and was sorry when the real "villain" turned out to be the guy I liked most (one known as "The Apache"). I liked Martin's girlfriend even less than I liked Martin. Funny thing, though, about Edith Parzefall's villains they're human. We get to see the childhood scars that explain, somewhat, their irresponsible or reckless behavior. In "Strays of Rio," a certain young druglord stole my heart, and I still can't decide if Parzefall is leading me into a dangerous sympathy for bad guys or reminding us of that redemption is possible.
Without spoilers, let me just say that Martin knows how to redeem himself. Does he have ulterior motives? Of course! He wouldn't be the Martin we know and hate/love otherwise. While his flashbacks of his mother set my teeth on edge, I realize such people actually do exist, people who belittle and demean their own children. Sometimes the truth is too horrible for fiction.
The antics Jenny and Ralf get into are endlessly annoying to me, but sometimes, when nice people do stupid things, it's the "bad" boys who come through for them. Survivors tend to be rough around the edges, cynical, maybe even selfish bastards. Or is that just a stereotype? Karo, the control-freak, workaholic CEO, starts the series being just about as unpleasant (to her employees, anyway) as Martin is to the people he lets down.
Seeing the anti-hero turn around and become heroic is a theme I never tire of. Ralf and Jenny, who start nice and stay nice, have little hope of being anything but background characters when stronger personalities share the same stag. I love a good villain, and Martin is one of the best.
There's nothing better than hopping back into a world with characters you've come to care for in the first novel, and follow their adventures into another fantastic journey. The character developments of the tour guide from hell, and the over achiever, work alcoholic getting their priorities straight is wonderful. There's also a brother, young kid, who really comes round by the happy ending, as well as a tension filled look into the plight of immigrants. Flawless editing is the icing on the cake of a great read.
Edith Parzefall does it again, taking us out of our comfort zone and providing all the adventure needed to keep the pages turning.
Martin and Karo return in this second novel in the Adventure Trek series. Intertwined through the adventures of characters who return as welcome friends, are a group of young refugees. Their ocean drama, Jenny's mountaineering adventure and the ever present tension between Karo and Martin make this another five star story.
Grab yourself a copy and discover a Cinderfella Conspiracy that is sure to engage and entertain you.
What a wonderful suspense story--but wait, there's more. Action, romance, well-developed plot, excellent settings. And well-developed characters? You bet! Edith Parzefall knows how to get a reader fully invested in her characters. Karo, Martin and Ralph and Jenny--all who I loved from Edith's previous novel--are people you love to love and love to hate sometimes, too. I love how all of these unique personalities come together in Cinderella Conspiracy. The ending is spectacular! Well done!
